A friend of mine just got a baby mini pot belly pig who is 8 weeks old and he just got diagnosed with a URI and a UTI. She was wondering if humans could catch the URI from the baby pig. She has a lot of medical problems with herself and is worried about getting sick. Not necessarily the "Swine Flu" that has the world in a panic. I've tried looking it up, but I can't find anything.Can you catch an Upper Respiratory infection from a baby Mini Pot Belly Pig?WHO is trying to convince Egypt that it is not necessary to slaughter their pigs since the disease doesn't pass from pig to human and yet Alberta, Canada has a quarantined pig herd that did contract the disease from a Mexican farm worker. So it is possible that the infection did come from the pig, especially if your friend has a lot of other medical problems that are over stressing his/er immune system. Take the pig to a vet and get it checked out for any disease. I hope all creatures clear up from this without any side effects,
