If you are able to take your laptop in there, attach a webcam to it and record it, unless you are not allowed. Take a voice recorder. Take notes, i guess you have thought about that already but it was a suggestion. The lectures i've been to are always recorded, but that is because i am still in secondary school and the lecturer has talking about something basic and interesting... i say interesting but... Anyway, try to use video or sound to record it, then you can replay it back to yourself. if you are able you could always ask the lecturer for his notes, (photocopied and signed) but they are usually in a hurry to run away.
