Wiki States: "The 1275GT is often incorrectly described as the "Mini Clubman 1275GT". The official name was always just the "Mini 1275GT", and it was a separate, distinct model from the Clubman (albeit, it shared the same frontal treatment as the Mini Clubman, and was launched at the same time)."

Was there any difference in the body shape, size, or any other external features between them?

Why was the 1275GT separate, distinct model from the Clubman? What is the difference between a Mini Clubman and Mini 1275GT?I had 4 minis including the 1275GT back in early 80s . The difference is the 1275 had discs on front a twin carb engine with branch exhaust manifold a slightly bigger exhaust. Run flat Denovo tyres made by Dunlop and cost about 拢50 each back then. Interior was better than standard clubman model. A few more gauges on the dash. A lot of fun to drive cos of the extra power.I used Hillman Imp 12 inch wheels on front as 10 inch wheels wont fit cos of the brake discs and 10inch mini wheels on back to save money at the time. Mine also had a full peco exhaust system.
Body work was much the same I think, the grill was different but not sure as it was a while ago. What is the difference between a Mini Clubman and Mini 1275GT?well the clubman had a square front and it was a called a clubman , the 1275 gt was a variant of this , it was the same car with the bigger engine , woo the full 275cc bigger and it had a rev counter and an oil pressure gauge , the clubman and 1275 gt had different dash aswell , clocks in front of the steering wheel instead of the middle , their were even lots of little variants of these great cars aswell , gt having twin carbs , but they were better thrown away if you wqanted it to run reliably better , fit a aluminium manifolr of the a seriese mg metro and a hif6 carb this will instantly transform any a series , yep i am a geniouse even though my spellings crap
