I need a new laptop but mini laptops are the only ones that I can pay for.
Whats the difference???What's the difference between Mini laptops and laptops?Mini laptops are smaller, have limited memory, limited RAM and overall a toned-down version of a basic laptop.|||Minis don't have optical drives (CD-ROM) and perform less than laptops. What's the difference between Mini laptops and laptops?the other one is a mini.|||well the minilaptops (netbooks) are low-end laptops. They often use an intel atom or similar cheap low-end energy eficient processor. This in turn makes the laptop less powerful but been known to give them good battery life.
netbooks are designed mainly for internet and office program use. They can be used for other purposing, but the low processor power is going to cause lag on several games.
Also netbooks usually come with a windows XP or one of the linux operating system, instead of the windows vista and mac on other computers.
Also netbook currently do not have an optical drive (cd/dvd player) and must one plugged in through the usb ports to play a cd.What's the difference between Mini laptops and laptops?Mini Laptops= Web browsing and word processing only (if you have a server system setup then it would have a bigger storage capacity) and really can't be used for gaming past stuff like civilization 3 or the likes.
Normal Laptops= Can be used for just about anything (providing you have a sufficient setup).
For gaming or tons of media usage (like video editing) desktops are still better.
