I recently contacted someone who is interested in re-homing their 10 month old green mini macaw. They claim the bird is in good health, they are just moving out of town and can't take the bird. They are asking $500. That seems kind of high for a "re-homing" fee.
Any input?
Thanks! What would be a reasonable re-homing fee for a 10 month old green mini macaw in good health?Hi, As a parrot rescue person I do not charge for the adoption of my birds, I do accept donations to help out, everyone is different. 500 for a mini that has been socialized and in good health is well worth the money. They cost over 1000+ to buy new. A parrot is a life time commitment, no different than raising a child. Do your research before you decide to invest in a lifetime commitment that does not leave the house when they turn 18.
