During the 'finalization' process, it takes what may have been raw .AVI files or MPEG 3 or 4 and converts them so that they are 'read-only' by not only your computer but also any desktop or component DVD player. If possible, DON'T finalize them. When done, use the raw format (whatever it is) and try to pull that into an "import file" that the computer would better recognize. Good Luck
