mini: We have just finished filming a trailer for are GCSE project, we filmed it on Mini DV type, and we need to put it on the the Computer so that we can edited it and add music.How do I transfer a Mini DV film on to a computer to edited it?It's quite straight forward really but you will need a Firewire (IEEE 1394) socket on your computer to connect your camcorder too. If your PC does not have one you can get a PCI card with one for about 拢20.If you're using a laptop, then a PCMCIA Firewire card will set you back about the amount. You will of course need an appropriate lead (Firewire 400) to connect the two together which will cost another 拢10-拢15. Once connected, your computer should recognise your camcorder and you can just follow the on-screen instructions to create a folder for your video from which you can then edit it. Hope this helps.
