My high school is having an annual senior citizen dance and I was wondering what would be a good mini intro for a speech that I have to give. Thank you! What would be a mini-welcome speech for a senior citizen dance?Good Evening! We are so glad you could come to our dance and hope you have a great time. There is punch in the back, and the restrooms are located...wherever they are....then tell them, "let's get swinging, waltzing and rocking! It's your night tonight!"

I grew up in the fifties, and think it would be a blast to have a night out like that! Cool your school is doing it! We have a lot of good kids in school now, and some problems just like we had back then

You have a great time!|||JD had a good one, and I cant quote it verbatim but it was something like boogie woogie ;til you cant boogie no more (?) I would add "welcome, get down and boogie woogie 'til your boogie wont woogie anymore" or something -- bring on that good old time rock and roll !!

Most senior citizens arent fuddy duddies and the older ones could probably cut a mean rug in their days so dont be stuffy, IMO, its a dance !!

loose - kick off your blue suede shoes and knock down the walls -- sorry mixed metaphors but I hope you get my driftWhat would be a mini-welcome speech for a senior citizen dance?I'd tap the mike and say "test 123" "test 123". "OK" Here we are again. After they settle down and listen to you. Say "Can anyone remember this one"? Have the DJ play "Earth Angel". Watch 'em grab their "parnter" and slow dance. Then..your own your own. When the old folks (and I'm one of 'em) decide it's time for a drink or a breather say. Hello seniors. Welcome to our world.|||Granny's answer is great! Add to it maybe,

"Many of you have enjoyed more recent dance fads...show us your stuff! while enjoying the past also! What would be a mini-welcome speech for a senior citizen dance?"Thank all of you for coming to this dance. We are happy to see you and hope you have a great time! Lets dance!"
