I have the stuff on my mini for the new pidgin, i just dont know how to take out the old and put in the new. HelpppppppppHow to un-install the pidgin that is currently on my hp mini Linux and install the new one?What Linux do you have? And why did you download the packages to install them locally? Usually we install straight from the distribution's repositories, and all the needed packages and dependencies are downloaded automagically.
Anyways... To uninstall the pidgin you have, use the synaptic package manager which is available in many Linuxes. Find pidgin and mark it for removal, then click "Apply".
To install a new pidgin you should also use synaptic, or the software center (they basically do the same things). By the way you can also install without un-installing first, and the old version will be upgraded.
If you insist on installing from the local disk and not the repositories, read on...
If you're using Ubuntu, and you downloaded a *.deb package, you can right-click the package and choose "Install with GDebi" to install locally from the drive.
If you're using Fedora, and you downloaded a *.rpm package, you can open up a terminal window and run the command 'su', then give the super user password when you're prompted for it, and then run the command:
yum localinstall <package_name>
If you downloaded a *.repo file for Fedora, you need to copy it to /etc/yum.repos.d and then run the 'su' command as described above and then the command:
yum install pidgin
If you're using another Linux then there is a good chance that one of the above methods will work for it, otherwise tell us which Linux you have 'cause it's hard to guess. If you downloaded a source code package (a *.tar.bz2 or a *.tar.gz package), you can't install it yourself so use the repositories. The right thing to do is to use the repositories anyways, never install locally.

I had always thought that a Dell mini-tower would be the smaller of the two models but as I was browsing around looking for memory, I found a web page on Dell's site and whenever I clicked on mini-tower, the larger version would show up and vice versa. I know that in the majority of cars, doing this sort of conversion would be extremely expensive as well as difficult, for many reasons. But Classic Mini's are fairly basic; the instruments are in the center of the dashboard, and they were manufactured in a way that made them easy to produce and ship to places all over the world. One source I found indicated it could be done for 500 dollars. If you want to go ahead with this project then yes, your estimate is quite corect.
The biggest hassle is changing all the pedals over to the other side and filling in all the holes on what is now the passenger side.
You also need to change the steering rack.

We have just finished filming a trailer for are GCSE project, we filmed it on Mini DV type, and we need to put it on the the Computer so that we can edited it and add music.How do I transfer a Mini DV film on to a computer to edited it?It's quite straight forward really but you will need a Firewire (IEEE 1394) socket on your computer to connect your camcorder too. If your PC does not have one you can get a PCI card with one for about 拢20.If you're using a laptop, then a PCMCIA Firewire card will set you back about the amount. You will of course need an appropriate lead (Firewire 400) to connect the two together which will cost another 拢10-拢15.
Once connected, your computer should recognise your camcorder and you can just follow the on-screen instructions to create a folder for your video from which you can then edit it.

i have a mini motorcycle and lost the key and the hotwire thing worked but the pull start still has resistance due to the battery not actually being on...or maybe the battery is dead...but how do you dis able the battery and allow the bike to run on just the engine itself.....all i need is the throttle and brake..which are not electric....the lights and horn and all the other bull **** is just extra weight...and keep in mind it has not been started for about 2 years i thinkHow do you start a mini motorcycle without the battery?Resistance from the pull start mechanism has nothing to do with the battery. If you want to disable the battery just disconnect the cables to it. Some bikes have to have battery power for the ignition to work, don't know if your bike does because you did not state the most important information-type of bike you are refering to.
My old Mac Mini is VERY slow, and out of memory. I purchased a new iMac desktop computer about a year ago. When I went to the Apple store to ask about transferring data, the worker gave me a firewire cable, capable of being plugged into both kinds of ports. There is just one problem, the Mac Mini hard drive doesn't show up on the desktop like he said. Any Help?How does one transfer data from a Mac Mini to a new iMac?You have to start the mac mini in target disk mode for that to work.
Start up the target computer and immediately press and hold down the T key until the FireWire icon appears. The hard disk of the target computer should become available to the host computer and will likely appear on desktop.

1) Boot up both Macs and connect them using the FireWire cable. The open Migration Assistant on the iMac (open Finder and go to Applications->Utilities->Migration Assistant). It will prompt you to open Migration Assistant and enter a specific string of numbers: do that, then follow the directions. That will let you transfer all your personal files and apps from the Mini to the iMac. It might take a while so be patient.
2) Boot the Mini into Target Disk Mode by holding the "T" key right when you hear the start up chimes when you reboot. Keep holding T until you see a FiewWire symbol on the screen. Then plug the FireWire cable into the iMac. You will see the Mini mount like an external drive on the iMac's desktop. You can open the Mini in finder on the iMac and transfer manually just the files you want, or you can open Migration Assistant (like above) and transfer all your personal files from the Mini.
If you want to move everything over (docs, movies, music, apps, photos, etc) all at once, use Migration Assistant. If you only want to move a few files or folders (like just your pictures) mount the Mini as Target Disk and simply drag the photos folder to your iMac. Easy!

Now you can have your very own Steve Urkel! They also come with a cage...free of charge.
Now it's very simple to care for these littles guys. Here is a quick list of things you will need.
1.Make sure you rubber pad the inside of the cage very well because these little urklets tend to be very clumbsy and can easily hurt themselves.
2.Feed them CHEEESE on a regular basis! They get very cranky if they don't have cheese.
3. Don't put anything in with them that can be easily broken because chances are...it will end up broken.
4.They love to talk and would make great companions!
5.Urklets tend to have VEEERY high pitched voices and if your not careful all the dogs in your neighborhood might come pounding in your door.
6.And if you wan't little urkel babies, I am planing on making clones of Lauras and shrinking them to. But she has yet to let me clone her...so I will have to get back to you on that.
7. EVERY one of them already comes with mini glasses, suspenders and all the works, so no need to go shopping for them.
8.They are very good dancers and expecially love Polka music!
9.They also play accordions, so if you pay a small price, you will get an accordion for your little Urkel.
Now there is a one week trial...meaning if you don't bond with your little Urklet or he just proves to be to much trouble you can return him and get all your money back.

I want to know if it is alright to switch off at night and switch back on when I get in from work the next day, as the noise it makes is annoying when I try to get to sleep at night. It won't hurt it if you unplug it when you're trying to sleep - but your food won't stay cold, of course.
Actually - since most mini-fridges aren't self-defrosting - you'll be doing a good thing to keep frost under control by turning it off for a while.|||The freon and liquids inside the fridge have to warm up during the night when you turn it off, and they become less liquid and, in time, more gel-like, because you're also dealing with mildew and mold mixing up in there. But if it's just for a semester....Also get some ear plugs or a white noise machine and keep it on to see if this works. My new baby mini horse had a very, very thick winter coat. He's starting to shed and he's rubbing himself on everything and he's rubbing some areas almost down to the skin! His coat is much more wirey and much longer than my big horses so it seems more difficult to deal with. Are there any special tools I could use for this type of coat? I have an app with sensitive skin and I wash him with Jergens or Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo.|||Let him be outside in the daylight as much as possible. Brush him everyday with a rubber curry and then a softer finishing brush. Use a shedding blade - this will really get the shedding hair to fall out in big clumps.
There is an antifungul shampoo made by Best that I really like. It is gentle enough to use everyday (even though no one should bathe their horse with soap too often), antifungul and it is pretty inexpensive. When ever im grooming the lesson horses at my stable, i give them a good currycombing, and A LOT of hair comes off. I have 3 sweatshirts that i only use for the barn because they are covered in horse hair. Its ridiculous.
As for the dry skin things, I'm sure your tack shop would have something to reccomend.|||I really wouldn't advising you clip him this late in the season, it could have a negative affect on his summer coat.
I would use a shedding blade, and also use a rubber curry comb in little circles, this will encourage his winter coat out.
A bath always helps too, but be sure the weather isn't too cold!!!
Good luck!|||I just went to the trainers yesterday to see my horse (4 hour drive) and he is shedding like crazy.. I worked on him for 2 hours and he was shedding all over the place. When I left I think I had just as much hair on me. There is no magic way to get rid of it.. just brush brush brush. He is rubbing to try to get rid of it himself. If you get a nice warm day brush him good then give him a nice warm bath. That will loosen up and get rid of a bunch of it plus he will be clean so maybe less itchy. Just make sure you rinse really really well since his hair is so thick. good luck with your new baby! Post a picture!

I'm befuddled.|||puting your mini stud in with your mare and foal depends on the little guys temperment. we have our mares foaling in the same pasture with the mares, they have to know the stallion and he has to have a good temperment, and defently not with your 1 year ol jack. though minis could be different im not sure mares of any kind are very protctive and there pretty aggressive when it comes to thier babys they can send a stallion cowering to the corner so better to be safe than sorry.

2. block open the trottle (stick a screwdriver handle into the thottlebody)this will prevent airflow resistance.
3. disable the ignition system to prevent sparks(remove the feed wire to the coil).
4. disable the fuel injection.
5. screw the gauge on with the right adapter in the sparkplug holes.
6. crank the engine and listen for about 5 compression strokes(the needle will move as this happans).
7. I really like to use fresh herbs when i cook so i like to have an herb garden. I don't have a green thumb and usually end up killing my plants/forgetting about them/smashing them etc. I would like to have one in my kitchen where i could take a little better care of it and use it easier. Unless you still have lots of winter sun, growth of most indoor herbs will slow or even stop during the winter, even with enough warmth. When growth slows, reduce harvests and hold back a little on the water. Reducing the indoor temperature to 60潞 to 65潞F, if possible, also helps. With few exceptions, herbs require excellent drainage, add sharp sand or perlite to a good sterilized compost-based mix. Most herbs do well in soils of pH 6 to 7. In general, water less often and more thoroughly, and only when the soil is actually dry.
Plants to try:

I thought about using clothes hanger clips one of the wooden ones but then how would I use them as a hanger to hang them and the clothes on the rod. I need it to be extra small. teeny tiny. Rip the video from the DVD to a format that is useful... like MOV, DV or MP4. When the ripping is complete, quit HandBrake and use the converted files.

Another option is to use an Elgato video capture device... there are a few others. You may also consider changing up your morning routine. If he is urinating just before you leave for work, it may be helpful to take him for a walk around the block before you leave for the day. In windows 7, right click on any part of the screen of the desktop. A small menu pops up, click on the last option called "personalize". It will then allow you to change the theme, desktop background, fonts, etc.

During the 'finalization' process, it takes what may have been raw .AVI files or MPEG 3 or 4 and converts them so that they are 'read-only' by not only your computer but also any desktop or component DVD player.
If possible, DON'T finalize them. When done, use the raw format (whatever it is) and try to pull that into an "import file" that the computer would better recognize.

I'm sure there are. DIY is a matter of being creative. The muffler is simply a container, a fastening device, and a stuffing. In its most simple form of a container is a can. The most available stuffing that is fire proof is steel wool. The fastening device will depend upon what is available to fasten the muffler upon, i.e., the header.

Now if you want to just have puppies or watch babies being born with out having the responsibility of finding them homes then go to your animal shelters and vet clinics, ask to be put on a list as a foster parent for a pregnant mother. They will love you because an animal shelter is not a good place for newborns and a lot of work for the shelter. Any offer to take in a foster momma and have puppies with the shelter supporting the mama with vet bills and placement of the puppies.
Bet you'll think twice before you take on your second litter.

That's about it for a 5 Gallon, i really recommend a Betta tho. Never put a plecostomus in a 5 Gallon. They can get very large and r for bigger tanks only. u can't even put one in a 10 Gallon.
Goldfish r very messy and produce alot of waste, so they need more room then most fish unlike what people advertise. if u put even just one goldfish in a 5 gallon it wud die from ammonia poisoning. that's why w/ a goldfish u need 20 gallons of water for one then plus 10 gallons for each additional goldfish. goldfish r one of the messiest fish out there and shud never be kept in a bowl as they need filtration and there is not such thing as a 20 gallon bowl. and a Betta fish shud not be kept in a bowl either. they need filtration and a heater and at least 3 gallons of water, but do better w/ 5 gallons or more.

That's about it for a 5 Gallon, i really recommend a Betta tho. Never put a plecostomus in a 5 Gallon. They can get very large and r for bigger tanks only. u can't even put one in a 10 Gallon.
Goldfish r very messy and produce alot of waste, so they need more room then most fish unlike what people advertise. if u put even just one goldfish in a 5 gallon it wud die from ammonia poisoning. that's why w/ a goldfish u need 20 gallons of water for one then plus 10 gallons for each additional goldfish. goldfish r one of the messiest fish out there and shud never be kept in a bowl as they need filtration and there is not such thing as a 20 gallon bowl. and a Betta fish shud not be kept in a bowl either. they need filtration and a heater and at least 3 gallons of water, but do better w/ 5 gallons or more.

The "best" laptop for that specific camcorder will be one that has a drawer loading DVD drive.
If you want to edit or upload the video stored on those miniDVDs, you will finalize the disc in the camcorder (instructions in the manual), take the disc out, rip the video using a ripper like HandBrake. That ripped file needs to be a format that the video editor can deal with. Windows MovieMaker likes WMV files and Apple iMovie likes MOV files.
If you get a laptop with a slot loading internal DVD drive, just get an external drive (like those form LaCie).
Transferring the video using a USB cable won't work very well. Also, you need to know that the video from consumer standard definition DVD based camcorders was not meant to be edited. After transferring to the computer, video quality will be very poor.

I've just been stationed in Germany and found out they don't really have much for cable TV. I heard about using a Apple Mac Mini as a media center using Plex or Boxee and then connecting it to your TV. I've only just discovered a blood stain on my mini jeans just then. They're my favourite pair and i lost them ages ago, but now i found them. It's really fine material and this blood stain i found won't come off! Thinking about this and what you want to do has a few problems. What you want is an address to store things....a mini storage here has a padlock on it, put on by you...and no one else "usually" can have access to it. It would take special arrangements to send items and have them put in the storage, and to be able to trust no one would steal them. It would be better if you could find a person who would take care of them for you. Something to think about!

What is the best type of OLD mini cooper to do up?Any old mini is cool so don't fixate on a particular one, you will just pay more for the name and still have a rust bucket to contend with, Which leads me in to the next bit, they are all seriously prone to rust but almost all panels and subframes are still available, rotten door pillars, round the windscreen, all nasty to fix, your welding skills will improve no end.
Check out quite a few before committing yourself, you'll learn more with each one you look at.

There are Mini Pinschers... but they are not related to the doberman. They are actually a type of terrier that's been around long before the doberman was created. They were called Min Pins because they resembled a small version of the German Pinscher.
From a reputable breeder, I'd expect to pay $800-1200 and up for a pet quality.

There are Miniature Pinschers (often called Min Pins for short), which are what I am assuming you are talking about, which are NOT related to the Doberman Pinscher and are actually a much older breed. They can be adopted much more inexpensively from shelters and rescues- there are a lot of breed specific rescues for Min Pins out there because they tend to be 'difficult' dogs. 1 package lil smokies (cheddar )
1 container crescent roll dough
1 T hot and sweet mustard
Remove dough from package and cut each triangle into quarters or thirds. Spread a little hot sweet mustard on each piece and wrap around a lil smokie. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake until golden and puffed. The only thing I can add to it is to tell you to put your hot dog pieces in the freezer before putting them in the crescent rolls to bake. The reason for this is, if you use refrigerated hot dogs, they will shrivel before the roll is browned - the roll generally cooks at 400潞 for about 10 minutes if I remember correctly. If the hot dog is frozen, it will be nice and plump inside that roll.|||i make those all the time! i call them pigs in a blanket, though i use the normal sized hotdogs. what you do is cut a slit in the hot dog (don't cut all the way through the hot dog though) and put a small slice of cheese in the slit (cut up a slice of american cheese into about 3/4 inch strips). put the hotdogs aside. then open the cresent rolls. unfold them all or unwind them or whatever you have to do and roll the hotdogs w/ cheese into them. (if you're using small hotdogs, you might want to make the cresent rolls smaller too).
on the can the cresent rolls came in, it should say how long to cook them for. i think it's like 45 minutes at 450 or something like that. i can't remember off the top of my head (so don't cook them for 45 minutes on 450 cause it could very well be wrong). but it should say on the can of cresent rolls.

If you cut up the hot dogs to make mini dogs, then cut up the dough to fit. Arrange on a cookie sheet and bake them until golden brown at the temperature shown on the wrapper for the crescent rolls.

then you put it in the oven|||Cut the hot dogs into 4 pieces, get some american cheese and then roll them into the crescent rolls, which you also have to cut smaller, usually 1/2 or 3'ds depending on size.

The heater will always think it's cold and just keep going. I do this with the actual thermostat at work and nobody notices, sometimes they just complain "why does our heat just never turn off".
Tip: cold air goes down, if you put an ice pack on top of one of those steel boxes that souround a thermostat in public buildings this will work. Seeing as legs are the focus of a mini skirt, you really don’t want to wear something outrageous on your feet. During the day you might want to try a neutral color, open toed wedge sandal with a wooden or hemp heel. They'll both make your legs look long and fit.
